3rd February 2009 Windsurfing: Kanaha Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Overcast/rain!!! :( Max Speed: Distance Covered: With at last a good swell forecast I was looking forward to today however pissing rain in the morning put a serious dent in my enthusiasm. Eventually it cleared enough for me to summon up the motivation to sail Kanaha but I didn't have the best of sessions. For some reason I had trouble getting "in the zone" today - dunno why - can I blame the grotty weather? The swell was decent (half-mast-ish) but I was sailing like a muppet. I was finding the set waves no problemo but then kept on dropping in either too early, too late or losing the wind at the critical moment and not dropping in at all. The poor visibility wasn't helping, and the waves seemed to be closing out sooner than I wanted them too, but mostly I was just being crap. I'm not bovvered though as with the good forecast I should have a chance to redeem myself some time this week. Bring back the sunshine please. |
